چکیده
Beta patula Aiton is a crop wild relative (CWR) which belongs to the Gene Pool 1b and considered Critically Endangered species, present in very specific environments, such as Desembarcadouro islet (DI) Ponta de São Lourenço or Chão (CI) Desertas Islands. The ISOPlexis Center (University of Madeira) has been providing continuous support for its situ conservation by keeping management plan populations an ex strategy through storage accessions GeneBank. work intends spatial distribution genetic variability diversity these B. using eight polymorphic Simple Sequence Repeat (SSR) markers. overall results lead identification three spots with high diversity. CI small cluster individuals shows footprint different from DI, having unique alleles population. DI two distinct areas: western area, higher individual density but lower allele fixation; central count presence alleles. Despite some differences, comparison islets’ that they have more similarities than differences. Analysis Molecular Variance, based on hierarchical cluster, showed 9% between populations, 68% among individuals, 23% within individuals. This data will be used establishment protocol monitor manage under reserve, subsequently contributing European Genetic Reserve network implementation protection this important CWR.

Knowledge on the taxonomic diversity and distribution of blowflies from the Madeira Archipelago is updated. New and interesting findings are reported for poorly studied islands and islets of this archipelago, together with a brief analysis of the diversity of Macaronesian Calliphoridae s. l. Seven blowfly species were collected during this study, including the first records of Calliphora vicina...
متن کاملphylogeography and genetic diversity of the lesser mouse- eared bat (myotis blythii) in iran
in current study, 63 samples of bat populations collected from differ regions were used for evaluating the geographic variations. twenty cranial and dental characters for traditional morphometric and landmarks method on the ventral, dorsal skull and mandible for geometry morphometric studies were used. statistical analyses of traditional morphometric and geometry morphometric data indicated low...
Investigating the multifractality of point precipitation in the Madeira archipelago
The purpose of this work is to contribute to a better understanding of the variability of precipitation in the Madeira archipelago. This archipelago is located in the Atlantic subtropical belt under the direct influence of the Azores high pressure system. It is formed by Madeira Island (728 km2) and Porto Santo Island (42 km2) and by two other groups of very small inhabited islands. The complex...

Background: Iranin poppy (Papaver bracteatum Lindl.) belongs to Papaveraceae family which has important alkaloids such as thebain. Objective: Investigation of genetic diversity and population structure of Iranian poppy populations from Alborz Mountains. Methods: Total DNA from 36 genotypes (12 individuals from each population) were extracted by doyle method. Thebaine of capsules were assayed...
متن کاملGenetic Diversity of Fusarium oxysporum Isolates from Common Bean and Distribution of Mating Type Alleles
Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum Schltdl. f.sp. phaseoli (Fop), is one of the important diseases of the common bean in Iran and many of the bean growing countries. Incidence of the disease has been reported in tropical and semi-tropical regions of the world. This study was carried out to characterize genetic diversity of F. oxysporum isolates from the common bean by vegetative compati...
